Storm Update 11/03/12 PM
Posted on Nov 3rd, 2012
Garage / storage area flood mitigation has commenced and will continue next week. Owners should clean out their garages of all damaged items and make space along the wall for sheetrock and insulation removal. We need dumpsters. Anyone with contacts in the industry should put them in touch with me.
On November 2nd at about 10:30 pm we had a fire on the roof of building 400 affecting units 401 & 402. Since we could not ascertain whose electric meter is whose we needed the shut off all 400 building main breakers at the meters at the rear of unit 408 carport.
Once electric is restored to Brielle Landing, owners of units 403 through 408 should match the electric bill and the meter number before turning their beaker on. Please take a marker and write your unit number on the meter for future reference. Units 401 & 402 are not habitable and power must remain off until certified as safe to restore.
The roofers were on site today making the damaged roof areas water tight and will continue as needed. We have filed a claim for windstorm damages and are awaiting communication from the adjuster. We have put Servepro in touch with the 2 units for the fire restoration.
We do not have flood insurance so the basement area damage will be handled by special assessment.
Before you dispose of anything, photograph and document – Just in case some type of coverage is available.
Please discourage sightseeing of the Jersey Shore at this time as it delays the mitigation and restoration process. If you need to see the effects this link provides detailed satellite images following the hurricane.
Please pass the word and refrain from calling my office this week to ask questions, we just do not have the manpower at this time, except for dire emergency.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
